How often do pharmaceutical/cosmetic companies change product ingredients and do they notify customers?

I am involved with a skin care company. As a consultant we are always notified when product ingredients change. Then we share them with our clients. My company only changes a product when an ingredient can improve upon its results. Sometimes it takes years and somestimes not. Depending on the product and the ingredient. Luckly the company I am involved with is always looking to improve their products and is always on the cutting edge of anti aging and skin care.

I think this is a very interesting question and i Will check if anyone does have some answerer's. I think personally that they do change a little and come up with a different version of what was original.


Actually , i think anything that has not sold to the percentage they like , they possibly do this to but i don't know about telling the clients or future customers?How often do pharmaceutical/cosmetic companies change product ingredients and do they notify customers?
